Did you know that the Houston Dynamo had to change their orignal team name?
They were first called Houston 1836, which was the year of Texan independence from Mexico. This name caused controversy and political issues for the team. So they then changed the name to Houston Dynamo. They chose "dynamo" becuase Houston is an energy and oil based city which means our city is hard-working, risk taking and has lots of energy. The Dynamo then proved their hard work by winning two MLS Championships in 2006 and 2007. So come out and support these two time champions.

Taylor Swift writes her own songs
Taylor Swift is the American pop, singer, song-writer and gutarist who the World adores. Taylor is a unique artist and stands out becuase she writes her own songs on what she is going through in her life. Taylor Swift as an artist really cares about her fans and her fans relate to her songs. She has become very successful and such a positive role model for all of her fans. Taylor Swift has become a phenomenon selling out concerts worldwide.
Taylor will be at the Toyota Center in Houston on May 16th!

Dave Matthews Band shows a big heart
Most of us know who Dave Matthews Band is because they have been around since the 90s and have been performing for years. Their unique sound and soulful music is what makes all the fans love them. They have a charity called BAMA Works Fun which helps people in need, the environment and helps around the city. They have also helped in other charities to help vicitims from Katrina, Haiti, and tsunami disasters. Dave Matthews Band not only plays amazing music but they are really into philanthropy because they care about others.
Friday Dave Matthew's Band will be at the Woodlands Pavilion!
