Tired of huge multi-function facilities with no character? House of Blues in Houston is the place for you. Dedicated to its traditions and live music, the venue has more character than you can imagine. It is one of the most unique venues built specifically for live music that you will ever find. It is considered one of the major venues for touring bands. If you're looking for a fun evening with your friends, this place has it all: live music, a vibrant atmosphere, and an in-house restaurant featuring southern-inspired cuisine. Check out the "Crazy Quilt" and the murals on the walls in honor of blues legends Big Momma Thornton, Lightnin' Hopkins, and local legend Albert Collins Johnny "Guitar" Watson. Don't forget to look under the stage for the big metal box full of mud from Delta Mississippi. Choose H.O.B. in Houston for your next evening out on the town. You won't be disappointed!
The Houston House of Blues is one of thirteen locations around the country. It opened in October 2008 and is located in the downtown area. The Houston location is unique in that it is the only location with a vertical design. In 2006, before the venue was opened, Live Nation acquired the franchise and is the current owner. Each site is created specifically for that city; Houston is no exception, with its Bronze Peacock Room, a tribute to Houston’s first blues club.
