Mylo Xyloto became the group's third album to debut at number one on the US Billboard 200. The album has already received three Grammy Award nominations for their singles Paradise and Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall. Chris Martin is the lead vocalist and pianist of the band. Lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Will Champion make up the rest of the popular group. Coldplay achieved considerable attention and notoriety after the release of Yellow, their first single. The Parachutes (2000) album followed and was nominated for the Mercury Prize award. The very next album to come out, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), won many awards including NME's Album of the Year. Coldplay's next release to hit the airwaves and stores was X&Y (2005), which received less attention but still had a following among new and old fans. The fourth album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), was produced by legendary soundscape artist Brian Eno and released to very positive critical response.
